We’ve been stocking the delicious Doisy & Dam bars for nearly a year now. We thought it was about time we found out more about the brand that brings unique pairings of superfood and chocolate together.
Childhood friends Edward Smith and Richard Wilkinson wanted to create a food brand that struck balance between indulgence and nutrition.
Ed says: ‘We wanted to use superfoods to make indulgent foods better. We don’t believe in the idea that you have to sacrifice taste in order to create naturally good food. We make sure every bar of D&D has a superfood, a unique taste and an irresistible texture resulting in something superdelicious (even if we do say so ourselves)’.
So why call it Doisy and Dam? Well, Doisy & Dam were two incredibly accomplished scientists who won the Nobel Prize for Physiology and Medicine in 1943 for their work on the discovery and science behind vitamin K. Their discoveries led to a much better understanding of health and nutrition, which is why founders Richard Wilkinson and Ed Smith wanted to put them on the front of their bars!
The brand offer ten truly unique flavours which are added to either milk, dark or white chocolate.

Every bar is produced and hand packaged in the UK, each a little different and made for the individual. All bars are single origin, gluten-free and soya-free. The dark chocolate is also vegan friendly. Each bar has a minimum of 8% superfoods, no more than eight ingredients, and a higher cocoa content than most mainstream bars meaning less sugar and fat. Healthy indulgence at its best!
